"Autotrasporti Fraconti" was founded by its owner in 1950 after five years of experience gained while employed as a driver.

The activity immediately concentrated on the transport of materials for the construction industry destined to the post-war reconstruction of Milan and continued in this sector for all the 50’s and 60’s gradually increasing in size and paying particular attention to the technological innovations of road haulage which was emerging from the pioneering stage.

Giovanni Fraconti in fact immediately sees the potential of the articulated lorry in comparison with the truck and trailer, coupling, already at the beginning of the 1960’s more semitrailers with different fittings to the same tractor in order to provide a complete range of services to customers. Actually, at that time, the Company already provided transports of both raw materials and finished products.

The 1970’s see the Company transfer its offices to their present site in Sesto San Giovanni, and the expansion into other sectors, such as transport of irrigation ducts, machinery, loose powered cement and industrial plants thanks also to the contribution, firstly, of his wife and subsequently of his sons.

In this period the first lorries were fitted with hydraulic cranes for the discharge of the materials which today constitute the company’s main specialisation field, an important additional service offered to customers.
